Breakage Policy

This policy applies to the Gauteng region:

There have been nil breakages reported from our home region, Gauteng. This is attributed to the fact that delivery is straight from us to you via our trusty privately-owned courier services. Both companies we use specialize in hand to hand fragile courier so please do not worry, your delivery will reach you safely. Please note that once your order is ready and dispatched it will reach you with 1 to 5 working days.

 

This policy applies to all outlying regions:

All boxes for outlaying areas are packed with multiple layers of bubble wrap/stuffing but are still susceptible to damage in transit due to the fragile nature of the product. It is important to note that courier companies often utilize airlines to send goods to outlying provinces. Package handling is similar to baggage handling and unfortunately no amount of bubble wrap and packaging can withstand very rough handling. Fragile labels are visibly placed on the box together with a fragile goods in transit notation on the waybill itself. Furthermore, a fragile goods in transit message is added for all the staff handling the package. Negligence by the courier company can and may still occur. For reference, historically, 1 out of 20 deliveries may have a breakage.

If your package arrives damaged, please e-mail orders@myglambox.co.za and we will see where we can assist you in replacing a broken item/s or replacing the full product at a reduced price.

NB. Most courier services no longer insure fragile goods. Once the goods leave us, it is out of our care and liability. We are unable to replace items damaged by courier at our cost however we can and will assist where a removable part has been damaged. Eg, a draw of an organiser. We will cover up to 50% of the replacement courier charge in good faith.

 

THis policy applies to all collections:

Collection will be by appointment only. Once you have set a date and time with us please ensure the package is duly collected. 

Please ensure that the order is checked upon collection personally or by third party collecting on your behalf. GlamBox will not be held liable for mishandling or breakage of the package contents once it leaves our premises. The package must be held from the base and not by the flaps of the box. Place down gently and secure in the vehicle. For courier company collecting please ensure that the package is insured if the option is available. All packages are clearly marked as fragile.

Please DO NOT use sanitizer or any alcohol based products on your items, it will cause small cracks at the joints. Refer to care instructions included in your package. If you require a digital copy please request one.
